Practice PInk's Sense of Design: Channel Your Annoyance

Two of my very favorite ways to unwind after a long day are taking a hot shower and eating a bar of Lindt chocolate. Sadly, and frustratingly, I have never been able to do both simultaneously, owing to the fact that chocolate is a treat that will immediately heat up and melt if brought into the shower, thus losing its charm. However, with the possibility of chocolate evolving into a delicious non-melting shower snack, both of my favorite coping mechanisms could become one.
The average Lindt chocolate bar has 10 squares, measuring 1.52 x .3 x 1.75 inches each. In order to stack all of these squares on top of each other in order to fit into a Chocolate Shower Snack Dispenser, the measurements of the dispenser need to be as depicted (or slightly larger on all sides to allow for larger or uneven chocolate squares).
The "walls" of the Chocolate Shower Snack Dispenser should be made of malleable, freezable, and smooth rubber in order to both effectively freeze your chocolate beforehand and ease in "pushing up" your chocolate. Dispensers can come in a wide variety of designs, patterns, and colors.
The bottom of the dispenser is used to "push up" your chocolate squares. It functions in exactly the same way as "push-stick" of a "push-up popsicle" - simply push the stick up when you are ready for your next Lindt square. The "push-up stick" portion of the Chocolate Shower Snack Dispenser is hard plastic and removable from the body (to make cleaning your shower snack dispenser easier).
Hopefully one day in the near future, these Chocolate Shower Snack Dispensers will become available for us all.

  1. As a fellow chocolate lover, I applaud your ingenuity to combine those two enjoyable activities. For those that don't like chocolate but are still wanting a snack, would your design be able to accommodate other snacks? If, for instance, someone wanted to dispense yogurt-covered pretzels, would your design be adjustable to allow for that? Just curious! If you ever end up producing these lovely Chocolate Shower Snack Dispensers, let me know! :)

    1. Thank you! Yes! I think this design could totally work for yogurt-covered pretzels, especially since they are the same relative size as a chocolate square!

  2. This is an amazing invention, and I think you should trademark it before someone else makes a bunch of money off of your imaginative idea. Would your CSSD sit on a windowsill or shelf, or would it have suction cups on one side so that it could cling to a tile wall? I also imagine wanting a glass of cold milk to go along with the chocolate and I wonder if a insulated, lidded, cup and cup holder could be easily attached to the chocolate dispenser. Now I have to go find myself some chocolate!

    1. Thanks, I love your suction cup idea! I like my chocolate frozen most of the time so I imagined myself keeping it in the fridge but that is a genius innovation for those of us who like our chocolate room temperature! I will have to give you credit on the patent for your storage idea.
